"Mime" is another favorite word of Sylvia's. She sings "Black black black is the "mime" (color) of my true love's mime (hair)". The recent crossing of the Rhine by the Americans was one of the great feats of the war. Lillian went to her first meeting of mothers of kindergarden children. Points stressed at the meeting were to give the children a measure of independence, to teach them to speak in a well-modulated voice.
