Beat Sheib. We left the children at Mollie's and went downtown to buy a suit at Gausmark's - 15 Dey St. - $32.75. Then to the Methodist Hospital to see Al who looked very well as did Edith who expects a baby in December. The House Committee has shelved the jobless aid bill "due to strikes". British French and Japanese troops are battling Annamese revolutionists. Yankee President Larry MacPhail says he will not hire negro ballplayers. Argentina has nipped a military revolt and arrested Gens. Rawson & Martin. The second session of the WTIU opened in Paris. Molotov has criticized our uni-lateral actions in Japan. Liberal Party holds "Garden" rally.

Not sure about the name of the store where the suit was bought; could not find any Internet reference.
