My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

7/1 Sunday
Senate filibusters against the F.E.P.C. bill, have been pouring forth tirades against negros and Jews. Played some tennis today. Lunched at mother's. The Burton Ball Hatch "Labor Peace" Bill designed to replace the Wagner Act is being opposed by all labor. Saw "Without Love" with K. Hepburn and S. Tracy. Two scientists attempt marriage without love but it comes anyway.
