Early this morning Sylvia woke us complaining of an earache. Lillian applied some hot oil on cotton to her ear. Although it was better at dawn Lil took Sylvia to Dr Holzman who said she had an infection. He gave her a penicillin shot and prescribed sulfa. Sylvia's temp was normal at night and Lil went to her school for "open school week". She got very good reports about her from the teacher. Nov 13 Eugene's temp. climbed slowly but steadily so Lil called Dr Holzman. He advised her to discontinue the sulfa. He came over in the afternoon and diagnosed a "strep" throat. He gave Eugene a penicillin shot and prescribed the Sulfa. ...  Sylvia and Norma went to the Fordham. They saw "Dragnet" with Jack Webb which Sylvia didn't like and "The Golden Mistress" with John Agar which she did.
