Mar 6 Mom and pop and Molly & Sam came over for dinner. Anne & Mac couldn't come as the kids were ill. We played some cards. Eugene beat pop two chess games. The kids played some piano. William C. DeMille is dead at 76.

Mar 8 Frederick Birchall is dead at 84.
Mar 9 The Senate is investigating the Stock Market because it has soared to unprecedented heights within the last year.
Mar 10 Lillian bought a dress $8, shoes $3 and stockings at Alexander's. Ernst Boas is dead at 64, Matt Henson at 88 and Denis Conan Doyle at 43.
Mar 11 Lillian found notes from Eugene and Sylvia when she got home from work. Sylvia had gone to the park with some girls to do homework. Mar 12 Sylvia went to the Kingsbridge with Nancy Korman to see "A Star is Born" Judy Garland & James Mason & Disney's "Stormy". Eugene played baseball with Larry. However Larry abruptly called off the appointment for the evening to see a basketball game or babysit together saying he had to study. Lil and I drove around Westchester County. Sir Alexander Fleming is dead at 73.
