My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Truman has blamed isolationism for Pearl Harbor. He also called for cancellation of the 42 billion dollar lend-lease aid debt. Among ball-players who have returned to the Majors from the Army are Hank Greenberg, Bob Feller and Charlie Keller. Bertram Campbell has been released from jail after serving three years for a forging committed by veteran forger Alex Thiel. The circumstances surrounding his conviction are very strange and do no credit to Gov. Dewey. We came home from the farm today.
