My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

The Anti-Poll Tax bill passed the house. Sylvia says "Sing a Song of Sixpence, a pocket full of money". After the museum trip I said to Sylvia "What did you see there Indians and Dinosaurs and - "Water", she answered. "I took a drink and you took a drink and Mommy and people and etc." It was a hot day and water was the only thing she had on her mind. Eugene got a silver star in school for reciting a poem. Lillian went over to Mother's with the kids to pick up some groceries and Sylvia was very roguish. Lillian made me a beautiful "Tilden" sweater.
