Bataan is ours again. Sylvia is unable to leave the house due to her cold so Lillian and Eugene went to Mike and Evelyn for Isabel's birthday. Sylvia was a doll all day playing beautifully by herself making houses and prisms. Mama came over to play with Sylvia. Tried to win her over politically. Lillian looked cute today with a new hair-do. She did her nails also. My sister Lillian's birthday today. We wished her heartiest congratulations.
Mike (Meyer) Modelson was one of my mother's brothers. Evelyn was his wife. Isabel (actually Isabella, now Isabella Jacob) is their daughter, and, of course, my cousin; the closest cousin to my age, and the person who (indirectly) got me to start this blog.
My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.
