3/4 Sunday

Went over to Momma's today. Lilly & Harry, Uncle Abe & Tante Blume, Ida & Max, Rochel and Lilly Udovitz were there. Eugene sang Burl Ives songs and Sylvia recited and they were a hit as usual.

"Lilly & Harry" were, as I mentioned, my father's sister, and her husband. "Uncle Abe" was Abe Edelstein, my grandfather's brother; "Tante Blume" ("Tante" is Yiddish for "Aunt") was Blanche Winograd, Abe's wife. "Ida & Max" were Ida Patchenik and her husband Max Guzman; Ida was a first cousin of my grandfather's (and Abe, of course). Rochel Patchenik was Ida's sister; her husband, Meyer Bardes, was apparently not there. I do not know who Lilly Udovitz was.
