2/26/45

Lillian said "Oh Boy" and Sylvia told her to say "Oh Girl". Eugene spilled his milk at lunch time. A favorite song of Sylvia's is "Rain, Rain go away, Eugene and Sylvia want to play". Took a hair cut today. I'm averaging a letter every two weeks to a half dozen soldiers in the Army. Lillian picked up a bonnet for Sylvia in Alexanders. A bargain - 69¢. Sylvia kept putting it on all day. She came running toward Eugene "I want to kiss you, Eugene". They kissed adorably on the mouth. Eugene takes his calendar off the wall when he goes to sleep. He often asks to see animals in the big dictionary.

I had to learn how to create the "cents" sign for this post; never knew before. Alexanders was a large and inexpensive department store in the Bronx.
