Lillian went to the hospital to see sister Lillian. Bought Eugene a para-shoot game. He got painting sets and crayons from Mrs. Kreisler, Mrs. Rosenberg and his mother this week and a school bag, shirt and ties from the Beckers and Edelsteins. Also a building block set from mother.
Sounds like a got a bunch of gifts for surviving. This is the first mention of the Rosenbergs; they were neighbors in the building, and Bobby Rosenberg was my closest friend. Interestingly, we reconnected in the past year, after many years. I've already mentioned my Grandfather's brother Abe, and his wife, "Tante Blume"; their daughter, Ann, married Max Becker. Presumably, when he mentions "the Beckers and Edelsteins", he means Max and Abe and families.
My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.
