Yesterday was the hottest March 16 ever (76°). Today was Robert Kreisler's confirmation and Eugene went to the synagogue for the ceremony. He had on his new sailor suit and looked adorable. We took Sylvia out of bed and into the street in this warm weather is spite of her continued running nose. Having written my poem "Elysium" a week ago, I am writing "Yenan".
My father did write poetry (unpublished); I believe we have "Elysium" someplace. I think the second one noted is "Yenan" (a Chinese city which was a military HQ for the Chinese Communists), but I can't be sure.
My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.
