My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Another negro lynching has been uncovered. Frankie Sinatra is touring the country talking to youth groups on racial tolerance. G.M. workers have voted 6-1 to strike for their demands and Chrysler 20-1. Miss Quinn fascist teacher has finally been suspended and will be tried. We have authorized the stripping of our insignia from lend-lease goods to be used against East Indian revolutionists. Silvia still in bed. Eugene took a haircut.
