My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Truman has restored building priorities and placed ceilings on old and new housings and named a housing czar Wilson Wyatt to cope with the crisis in housing. 40 Nazi torturers of Dachau are guilty. 36 will die. Mama came over with some toys from Lilly & Harry and a frame for our enlarged colored snapshot. Stayed out of work again with a sore throat. British and French troops will leave Syria.
