Eugene went to Arnold Pachman's Eighth birthday party. Phil Cavaretta won the N.L. batting crown (.355) Tom Holmes in second place hit safely in 37 consecutive games to break the N.L. record. Prince Konoye has committed suicide.
Just got back in touch with Arnold Pachman last year!
My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

He was two years older than me, so you were in between. Did you go to school with him? His father was our mailman, and my sister and his sister were closer friends. They lived just down the block from us.
