My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Eugene out of bed. Sylvia still in. The "Big 3" ministers will meet in Moscow Dec. 15 on atomic energy. Truman's labor plan is winning support of N.A.M. Pegler etc. The Administration is abandoning F.E.P.C. as borne out by resignation of Att'y Char. Houston from the body. Our Gov't will make a loan to England of 4 1/2 Billion dollars. Gen. Yamashita will be hanged.
