My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Felix Gouin will replace DeGaulle as head of the new French gov't. He is a Socialist. Quill's T.W.U. has prevented the sale of the city's power plant to Edison at a cost of over 5 million dollars. Weinstock has been cleared by his union of charges due to his party affiliations. Thousands of Greek Royalists are battling gov't forces. The Peruvian gov't resigned Monday.
