My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.

Eugene and Sylvia in bed with slight temperatures. Eugene's main speech fault has been 'f' for 'th' still present to some extent. He used to say 'free' for the number 'three'. Lillian had been correcting him. Now in singing "America" for 'freedom' he is inclined to say 'threedom'. The U.A.W. has turned down a 13 1/2¢ per hr. raise in a conference with GM. More royalty has been ordered arrested by MacArthur in Japan among many new war criminals. Ben DeCasseres died yesterday.
