Willy McGee received another reprieve from the chair when Justice Black ordered the stay after hearing charges that the conviction was brought about by perjured evidence and that Mississippi reserved the death sentence for rape for Negroes only. Mar 17 Eugene won his second straight chess game from me. The State Assembly woted to increase the sales tax from 2 to 3%. O'Dwyer's pal J.J. Moran was tied to Irv Sherman, friend of Costello and Louis Weber, numbers operator. Britain asked the U.S. to stop at the parallel and negotiate peace.
My father started a "diary" in 1945 (more accurately, a journal, covering both family and current events), and I'm going to see if this is a decent way to publish it. Since I'm doing it as a blog, to get to the beginning of the journal, you have to go to the beginning of the blog.
