Al & Edith Pope here this afternoon. Sylvia made a great hit with her cuteness. Al thought her "tough". When shushed, she said, as her wont, "Who says I can't make noise" and "I could". Eugene, of course, would not stay out of the spotlight. In the evening Sylvia showed signs of a cold and Eugene, just out of bed, had a stuffed nose. Played anagrams with Lillian in the evening.
Alan Pope was an old friend of my father's; Edith was his wife.
